About me
My name is Emmeline Kemp. I teach people mindful movement so they feel good, body and mind. I use Mindful Movement techniques to help you feel great in your body with Stott Pilates, Fascial Movement and dance based exercises and stretches. Plus an added bonus of Reiki healing whenever you work with me.
Mental health, disability, or old age need not be a barrier to learning mindful movement when consideration and careful modification are applied.
I trained full-time as a professional dancer from a young age at the Legat School of Classical Ballet, before completing my degree at London Contemporary Dance School. Since graduation I have been privileged to perform with the most wonderful people & realised that being part of a small community of like-minded people is a small but joyful goal; which I will continue to hold dear to my heart.
Coming from a professional dance background, and later as a dance teacher, Pilates was always on the periphery of my work in dance. After a motorway accident I discovered the benefit of regular Pilates practice. Chronic pain coupled with PTSD made performing and teaching agonising and stressful until I committed to attending twice weekly Pilates classes. Training to teach Pilates seemed to be the next logical step for my teaching career. Four years later I became a certified STOTT PILATES mat work, Total Barre instructor and more recently a Merrithew Fascial Movement Instructor.
I have experience of mental health due to my PTSD so if you are struggling to find a safe and welcoming environment to exercise, do please consider yourself at home with Green Room Health. I am trained in Mental Health First Aid and I am ready to support you in your journey to wellbeing.
Join me in my warm (underfloor heated) studio to workout, dance and relax in a fun and friendly environment.
Danbury is a beautiful village placed between Maldon and Chelmsford in Essex.
Nearby are the scenic villages and towns of Bicknacre, Little Baddow, Baddow, Great Baddow, East Hanningfield, West Hanningfield, Woodham Walter, Woodham Mortimer, Woodham Ferrers, South Woodham Ferrers and Heybridge to name but a few.
Why not take a class and then go for a country walk to cool down afterwards…
